- Egg Mask: Egg contains protein and lecithin, which strengthen, nourish, and heal your strands. If you suffer from hair breakage, this will be the ultimate solution for you. And just in case you didn't know, egg also fight against dandruff problem.
Preparation: mix two eggs with two tablespoons of olive oi and some lemon juice. If you find the mixture too stick, you can add a bit of water to the mixture. Apply the mask directly to dry, brushed, hair, and leave it on for up to an hour or two. After that, just shampoo and condition as usual for stronger strands.
- Castor Oil: When I first heard about Castor Oil, I was very skeptical about it because of its thickness and stickiness. I did some research and found out that I had been seriously missing out on a simple and really effective traditional beauty remedy.
Castor oil has natural antibacterial and anti-fungal properties and is high in Vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and Omega 6 and 9 which are beneficial fatty acids. Its unusually high ricinoleic acid ratio makes it beneficial to skin and hair.
Preparation: Castor Oil helps prevent hair loss, dandruff and scalp infections. I usually use Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I usually mix my Castor Oil with Jojoba or Argan Oil. I usually do this treatment once a week and leaves it on my hair overnight. Wash it the next day as usual.....
- Trim Your Ends: It's very important to trim your hair ends as often as needed to allow your hair to grow even more. Trimming unhealthy hair will have less breakage making it look thicker and even shinier. The benefits of regular hair trimming are to remove split ends and hair damage. This will allow your hair to grow faster, break less and, thus, grow longer in a shorter amount of time.
- Coconut Oil:
I also love Coconut Oil for my hair as it fights dryness and makes the hair shine and grow. When gently massaged into the scalp, coconut oil helps improve blood circulation, supporting hair growth. It is important to massage the coconut oil into the scalp with a gentle pressure for about 10 - 15 minutes, 2 or 3 times per week. And just in case you didn't know, coconut oil also fight dandruff, its a life saver for those who suffer from it.
