My 3 Homemade Treatments For Natural Hair

My 3 Homemade Treatments For Natural Hair

Today I decided to share with you My 3 Homemade Treatments For Natural Hair. These homemade treatments are sometimes overlooked but they are very simple, easy to do and help you maintain a healthy hair.

I've been doing these for few years now and can only recommend you to try them out if you are not doing so already. We are going to talk about the avocado, coconut Milk and honey treatments. try them out and let me know how they work out for you.

1- Avocado Treatment

My mum showed me this treatment when I was still a teenager and I've been using it since. Avocado is a great moisturizer, softener and conditioner, so you have all 3 in one. Avocados are also very rich in vitamins, protein and amino acids which promote healthy and stronger hair.

All you need to get going are: 1 overripe avocado, 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon jojoba oil, the juice from 1 lemon. The lemon is very good especially if you have dandruff. Blend all these ingredients together and apply the paste on a  freshly shampooed hair. Wrap your hair with a plastic and leave the treatment in for an hour or two depending on your availability, then rinse out with conditioner and style as usual. When possible, I sleep with the treatment and rinse it out the next day.

2- Coconut Milk Treatment

Coconut Milk is great for conditioning, strengthening and minimizing hair breakage. It contains a lot of proteins and fatty acids which are both very good for the hair. This homemade treatment is simple, easy to make and doesn't cost you much.

The ingredients needed are: 1 cup coconut milk, 1 overriped and mashed avocado, 1 tbsp of honey. Again blend all these together and apply on a  freshly shampooed hair. Wrap your hair with a plastic and leave the treatment in for an hour or two depending on your availability, then rinse out with conditioner and style as usual.

3- Honey Treatment

Honey is the last but not the least on the list of My 3 Homemade Treatment For Natural Hair. Honey is a great moisturizer. It's very rich in sulfur, iron, zinc and vitamins B1, B2, B3, which all contribute in hair growth.

All you need to make this treatment is: ½ cup honey and 2 tablespoon olive oil ( I know some people can't stand olive oil, it's still ok to use any oil of your choice). Apply on a  freshly shampooed hair and wrap your hair with a plastic and leave the treatment in for an hour or two depending on your availability, then rinse out with conditioner and style as usual.
